Dr. Rivera will always make you feel welcome. Patients never feel rushed or uncomfortable. She believes in patient involvement. “It is important to involve my patients in the decision making for treatment, and and to educate them. Oral health is a team work effort, and doing more at home means less to do at the dentist!” Dr. Rivera is committed to helping every patient have a healthy mouth. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Rivera speaks spanish fluently and is more than happy to receive the Hispanic population.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Dr. Rivera grew up in Puerto Rico and attended the University of Puerto Rico for her undergraduate studies. She went on to receive her D.M.D from the School of Dental Medicine in Puerto Rico and graduated Cum Laude. After finishing her studies, she decided to gain more experience undergoing an additional year of a General Practice Residency in the Federico Trilla Hospital in Puerto Rico.
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Dr. Rivera has worked as volunteer dentist in missionary trips to Guatemala, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico. This experience has helped her to build relationships with people of different backgrounds. She regularly volunteers in the Northern Virginia Free Clinic in Sterling.
